Why is home inspection my passion?
Starting a small business that wouldn’t be an endless trap of monotony was not an easy task. The time I first heard home inspection as a career opportunity I knew it was something that could be undertaken as a fulfilling occupation. Being able to use my writing skills coupled with technological overtones was enough to get my ears perked. Many youthful hours were tirelessly spent revising essays with my mother, the English teacher. However, the technical aspect is where I really start to have fun.
As a former career mechanic with a background in brewing science, automotive technology, and HVAC, I am captivated by the elements of home inspection since they incorporate a little piece of all the subjects I am proficient in. Working daily with building science, moving parts, structure, combustion, pumps, fluid flow, pressure, etc. all get mixed into the equation of home inspection and lucky me, I get to solve it!
What does a good home inspector do for you?
A good inspector performs a series of observations to help determine how worried you should be about the systems involved in a home that you aren’t that familiar with. Every aspect of our living space is a science that is forever changing with endless pursuits of advancements in technology, efficiency and comfort. It is these pursuits that I aim to fulfill for my clients with clear, concise and objective observations to help you make the right living choice.
